Somfy is the usual choice for both interior and outdoor shades and works with almost any smart home platform. Lutron makes sense when you already have Lutron lighting control, or are planning it, because the shades and the lights then run from the same keypads and the same app. We tell you which suits your windows and your budget rather than pushing one line at everybody.

Yes, and those are two of the most common reasons people call us. Skylights need a shade on side guides so it does not sag, and a hardwired motor is usually sensible because nobody wants to get a ladder out to recharge one. Sliding glass doors take a single wide panel on a reinforced tube rather than a row of narrow shades. Both are measured on site.

Yes. Motorized exterior shades for decks, screened porches and patios, in weather-rated fabric on a reinforced tube, with side guides where the opening is exposed to wind. We fit a wind sensor as standard so the shade retracts itself before a storm damages it. Outdoor shades are a different product from interior blinds and are quoted separately.

Yes. Shades can run on their own through Alexa, Google Assistant or a phone app, or be tied into a wider lighting and shading control system so the lights and the shades move together on one set of scenes. Schedules can follow clock time or sun position. If you already have a smart home platform, we build the shades into it rather than adding a second app.
